2019 Rall White, Donovan Rall, Swartland

The Rall White is a blend of 68% Chenin, 28% Verdelho and 4% Viognier, with the Verdelho giving incredible vibrancy and freshness. Mainly from the Swartland, some of the Verdelho comes from Stellenbosch. Lovely tension and purity here. Notes of lemon oil, ginger, grapefruit and lots of savoury notes on the finish. Very delicate and fragrant, and there’s a real energy that cuts right across the palate.
